It's up to you to decide the number of teams, words, rounds you want! Absolutely everything is customizable, from the duration of the timer to the right to pass or not the cards, not to mention the words you enter or the themes you select.
Play as you feel! You can describe the card or make a charade out of it, give just one hint word, mime or act it out, sing or hum, make sound effects, strike a pose, or even invent your own rules.
To top it off: discover your incredible statistics at the end of the game. For example, pinpoint the word that gave you the most trouble, and many other surprises.
How many players are required to play?
Wordhunt is a team game and can be played with a minimum of 4 players and no upper limit for a standard game (up to 16 for an online game).
Both teams are automatically generated by the app, but you can easily add and modify them. You can use the regenerate button or drag a player into another team to do so.
Is there an age limit?
Wordhunt is suitable for both children (with the family pack) and people over 60. However, players should be able to read the cards.
How long does a game last?
It depends on the number of words and rounds you choose, and your abilities 😆. A standard game with 3 rounds and 5 words per person lasts an average of 45 minutes.
Why did you create Wordhunt?
We used to play the hat game 🎩 a lot during our gatherings with friends. Every time, we had to cut pieces of paper, find pens and a container, draw teams by lots, manage timers, and keep scores... Well, you get the idea, but it was loooong and not very eco-friendly.
So, we decided to create an app that takes care of all that for us and share it with you. We added themed word packs for times when, like us, you're a bit rushed or just not feeling very inspired.
